Dr. Osama Mohamed Ahmed is a professor of physiology at Faculty of Science, Beni-Suef University. He has granted Ph. D. in Physiology from Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Egypt.
He is working in different research fields including diabetes mellitus, obesity, carcinogenesis,
drug-induced toxicity, rheumatoid arthritis, hyperoxaluria etc., and assessment of medicinal plant constituents. He holds more than 100 publications in the fields of his expertise in international journals and member of several reputed associations.
Dr. Osama Mohamed Ahmed has written two books and also serves as a Deputy-Editor. He is a Co-PI of Experimental Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes Research Project granted by Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF), Egypt. He is a principal investigator and co-investigator in many research projects. He has taught physiology course for students in Faculty of Science, Faculty of Education (Biology Branch), and Faculty of Arts (Psychology Branch) in Beni-Suef University (Egypt) and for students in Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine.
