Dr. Robert Whiteis the Director of Behavioral Health for the University of Maryland, Department of Psychiatry.  He manages telemental health projects, EAPs and behavioral health contracts for the hospital, and the campus.  He is Director for the EAP for the Baltimore Orioles.  He holds a clinical faculty appointment with the University Of Maryland School OfMedicine is certified in addiction treatment and continues to teach and publish on subjects related to:   Telemental Health, Impaired Professionals, Intervention, EAPs, and Addiction Treatment. He is a former Director of the Med Chi Physician Rehabilitation Program and is a consultant to the Dentist Well-Being Committee.He received the IsadoreTuerk Award in 2004 for "Outstanding Contributions to the field of Substance Abuse Treatment."

He has chaired the Annual Tuerk Conference on Addiction Treatment for 28 years (This is the largest addiction conference on the East Coast with over 1,500 attendees and 100 exhibitors).
