Dr. Bingyun Li received his PhD from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2000. Currently, he is a full Professor with tenure at West Virginia University Medical School. Dr. Li is an active reviewer for more than 50 international journals. He is a member of the Society for Biomaterials (SFB), Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS), American Society for Microbiology (ASM), Materials Research Society (MRS), and American Chemical Society (ACS). Dr. Li’s research focuses on infection, immunology, nanomaterials, and drug delivery. He has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed research articles and book chapters. Dr. Li has received several prestigious awards including the Berton Rahn Prize from AO Foundation in 2011, the Pfizer Best Scientific Paper Award from Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association Annual Meeting in 2013, and the Collaborative Exchange Award from Orthopaedic Research Society in 2013.
